The pepper price threshold of 147,500 - 150,000 VND/kg continues to be an important milestone for growers. The slight price increase in some localities creates positive sentiment and helps limit short-term transactions.
Vietnam’s pepper is on the verge of reaching an all-time high in exports. Pepper prices have increased sharply amid a decline in global supply, while demand from major markets remains stable, helping this commodity continue to be called “black gold”.
In the short term, pepper prices in many regions remain within the range of 147,000 - 150,000 VND/kg. Although the market is under pressure to adjust, information about reduced output and low inventories is helping prevent prices from falling as sharply as some other agricultural products.
Pepper growers continue to hold onto their stocks, waiting for more positive signals before selling, especially when prices below VND148,000/kg are not attractive. This creates a balance between buying demand and actual supply in the market.

It is estimated that in November 2025, Vietnam exported 17,000 tons of pepper, worth 110 million USD. Although the volume and value decreased compared to the previous month, exports were still higher than the same period last year, showing that pepper prices maintain their appeal in the international market.
In 11 months, total export volume reached 222 thousand tons, down 5.5% but value increased 23.3%, equivalent to about 1.5 billion USD. This difference comes from the strong price increase trend of pepper in 2025.
The average export price for 11 months reached 6,755 USD/ton, up 30.5% over the previous year. In November alone, the export price reached 6,443 USD/ton, down slightly month-on-month but still high compared to many years, continuing to help pepper prices maintain their position as a strategic agricultural product.
With 1.5 billion USD in revenue in 11 months, the pepper industry far exceeded the record of 2016. This is an important milestone, affirming the role of strong pepper price increase in promoting export turnover for the whole year 2025.
