Pepper price today December 7, 2025: Export exceeds 1.5 billion USD, market becomes vibrant again

Pepper prices today, December 7, increased by 500 VND/kg in many large growing areas, in the context that Vietnam's pepper exports have exceeded the 1.5 billion USD mark after 11 months.

Domestic pepper prices recover, many places increase by 500 VND/kg

Early this morning, domestic pepper prices began to increase slightly by 500 VND/kg in some key areas. Specifically, in Dak Lak and Dak Nong , pepper prices were purchased at 149,000 VND/kg.

In Gia Lai and Binh Phuoc provinces, pepper prices also increased by 500 VND/kg, reaching 147,500 VND/kg and 148,000 VND/kg, respectively.

In the remaining provinces such as Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau , pepper prices are currently listed at a stable level of 147,500 VND/kg. The increase in pepper prices in the early morning is a positive sign after a period of market stagnation.

Statistics show that Vietnam has exported 225,009 tons of pepper of all kinds by the end of November 2025. The total export turnover has reached an impressive figure of 1 billion 515.2 million USD, of which black pepper accounts for the majority with 1 billion 248.9 million USD.

Although the export volume decreased by 4.4% compared to the same period in 2024, thanks to the sharp increase in pepper prices, the export turnover increased by 24.4% (equivalent to 297.6 million USD). The average export price of pepper in the 11 months also increased significantly: black pepper reached 6,618 USD/ton and white pepper reached 8,636 USD/ton, respectively 1,767 USD and 2,175 USD higher than in 2024.

Leading enterprises in pepper export activities in the past 11 months include Olam Vietnam (accounting for 9.8% market share), Nedspice Vietnam (8.5%) and Phuc Sinh (8.1%).

In terms of markets, the US remained the largest import market, accounting for 21.7% of total exports, despite a decline. In contrast, exports to the UAE increased by 28.6% and China increased the most, up to 83.7%, showing a significant shift in the markets consuming Vietnamese pepper prices.

International pepper prices remain stable, differentiated among varieties

In the international market, the International Pepper Community (IPC) has listed pepper prices stable. Indonesian Lampung black pepper prices closed at USD 6,995/ton, while Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was at USD 6,150/ton. Muntok white pepper prices reached USD 9,643/ton.

For Vietnamese pepper, the price of 500g/l black pepper is traded at 6,500 USD/ton, 550g/l is 6,700 USD/ton, and the price of white pepper is at 9,250 USD/ton.
