Domestic coffee price list updated at 4:30 a.m. on December 29, 2024

Vietnam's coffee market is experiencing significant fluctuations. In the 2023-2024 crop year, Vietnam exported about 1.46 million tons of coffee, down 12.1% in volume compared to the previous crop year. However, the export value reached 5.43 billion USD, up 33.1%, surpassing the 5 billion USD mark for the first time. The average coffee export price reached 3,673 USD/ton, nearly 50% higher than in the 2022-2023 crop year.

Despite rising export value, Vietnam’s coffee output is declining due to the impact of climate change and farmers switching to more profitable crops. Dry weather in key months has reduced the size of coffee beans, directly affecting output. Coffee output in the 2024-2025 crop year is forecast to decrease by 5% to 10% compared to the previous crop year.

Meanwhile, the domestic coffee market in Vietnam is witnessing the strong development of coffee shop chains and the increase in the consumption of specialty coffee. According to statistics, the number of coffee shops has increased from 816 in 2019 to 1,657 in 2023, reflecting the increasing demand of consumers for unique flavors and high quality.

Vietnam’s coffee industry is facing many challenges, including climate change, reduced supply and strict regulations from international markets. To maintain and develop, businesses need to invest in improving production technology, improving product quality and applying environmental protection measures to meet the increasingly high standards of the global market.
