At the same time, the price of SJC gold bars at Mi Hong Gold, Silver and Gemstone Company was listed at 177.3-179.3 million VND/ounce, an increase of 7.1 million VND/ounce in the buying price and an increase of 7.3 million VND/ounce in the selling price compared to the previous week, with a price difference of 2 million VND.

World gold prices today, February 8, 2026, and the world gold price movements over the past 24 hours.
According to Kitco, as of 2 PM today, February 8, 2026 (Vietnam time), the spot price of gold in the world market was $4960.27 per ounce , an increase of $50 compared to last week. Converted using the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,140 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately VND 156.33 million per tael (excluding taxes and fees). Therefore, the price of SJC gold bars is currently VND 22.97 million per tael higher than the international gold price.
World gold prices fluctuated sharply last week, starting with a deep drop before gradually stabilizing towards the end of the week. Spot gold began the week around $4,737 per ounce but quickly came under profit-taking pressure, breaking through key technical levels and falling to a weekly low of around $4,450 per ounce. Immediately afterwards, strong buying emerged, helping prices recover to the $4,800 region, while consolidating the $4,600 mark as a short-term support level.
Towards the middle and end of the week, world gold prices regained equilibrium, although the volatility remained high. Inflows from Asia pushed prices above $4,900, at times approaching $5,100 per ounce, before profit-taking pressure caused a correction, forming a double top around $5,020.
At the end of the week, world gold prices recovered steadily, closing near $5,000 per ounce, only about $35 below this psychological threshold, indicating that the market is rebalancing after a period of rapid increase rather than reversing its trend.
