Domestic gold prices last week recorded a continuous upward trend, with intermittent corrections, but the overall price level was consistently pushed up and established a new price range by the end of the week.
Specifically, in the first trading session of the week on January 19th, SJC gold bars were traded at 163.0 – 165.0 million VND/ounce (buying price – selling price). On January 20th, the price of gold surged, with the buying price reaching 164.1 million VND/ounce and the selling price reaching 166.1 million VND/ounce.
On January 21st, gold prices recorded a new increase. At the close of trading, SJC gold was listed at 168.0 – 170.0 million VND/ounce, an increase of 3.9 million VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the beginning of the week.
However, on January 22nd, gold prices reversed course and adjusted downwards. At the close of trading, SJC gold fell to 167.3 - 169.3 million VND/ounce, a decrease of 700,000 VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices.
The upward trend quickly resumed on January 23rd, with the buying price reaching 170.2 million VND/ounce and the selling price reaching 172.2 million VND/ounce. On the final trading day of the week, January 24th, SJC gold bars continued their surge, listed at 172.3 – 174.3 million VND/ounce, setting the highest level of the week.

As of 6:00 AM today, January 25th, compared to the closing price of last weekend (January 18th), buyers of SJC gold bars are recording profits ranging from approximately 11 million to over 12 million VND per ounce, depending on the brand.
At SJC Company, the price of gold bars this weekend, January 25th, is listed at 172.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 174.3 million VND/ounce for selling. Compared to the closing price last weekend (160.8 million VND/ounce for buying and 162.8 million VND/ounce for selling), buyers are making a profit of approximately 11.5 million VND/ounce.

At the Mi Hong system, the unit continues to list the highest buying price on the market, reaching 172.5 million VND/ounce, while the selling price closed at 174.0 million VND/ounce. At PNJ, the price of SJC gold bars this weekend is listed at 172.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 174.3 million VND/ounce for selling. Compared to the closing price last weekend (160.8 million VND/ounce for buying and 162.8 million VND/ounce for selling), buyers are making a profit of approximately 11.5 million VND/ounce.
Unlike the general market, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, the price of SJC gold bars closed the weekend at around 171.3 - 174.3 million VND/ounce. Compared to the previous weekend's price, which was commonly around 160.8 - 162.8 million VND/ounce, buyers recorded a profit of approximately 11 million VND/ounce.
At the same time, Bao Tin Minh Chau raised its buying price to 172.3 million VND/ounce and its selling price to 174.3 million VND/ounce. Compared to the prices at the end of last week (buying 160.8 million - selling 162.8 million VND/ounce), buyers are currently making a profit of approximately 11.5 million VND/ounce.
Finally, at Phu Quy, the price of SJC gold bars this weekend is listed at 171.5 million VND/ounce for buying and 174.3 million VND/ounce for selling. Compared to the closing price of last weekend (160.0 million VND/ounce for buying and 162.8 million VND/ounce for selling), buyers are recording the highest profit, up to approximately 12 million VND/ounce.





The price of 9999 gold rings closed the week at its highest level at Bao Tin Minh Chau.
At 6:00 AM, the price of 9999 Hung Thinh Vuong gold rings from DOJI was listed at 170.0 million VND/ounce (buy) and 173.0 million VND/ounce (sell), recording an increase of 3 million VND in both buying and selling prices yesterday, with a difference of 2 million VND/ounce.
Bao Tin Minh Chau maintained the price of gold rings at 171.3 million VND/ounce for buying and 174.3 million VND/ounce for selling, an increase of 2.1 million VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices compared to the previous session. The difference between the buying and selling prices remains at 3 million VND/ounce.
Phu Quy Group also listed the price of gold rings at 170.5 million VND/ounce (buying) and 173.5 million VND/ounce (selling), an increase of 1.8 million VND/ounce in both buying and selling prices yesterday, with the buy-sell spread remaining stable at 3 million VND/ounce.
World gold prices closed the trading session on Friday, January 25, 2026, at $4,975.8 per ounce.
As of 6:00 AM on January 25, 2026 (Vietnam time), the spot price of gold in the world market was 4,975.8 USD/ounce. This represents an increase of 40.2 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted using the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,381 VND/USD), the world gold price is approximately 158.3 million VND/ounce (excluding taxes and fees). Compared to the price of SJC gold bars in Vietnam on the same day (172.3-174.3 million VND/ounce), the current SJC gold price is about 16 million VND higher than the international gold price.
