DOJI gold price is currently buying at 82.5 million VND/tael - selling at 84.5 million VND/tael (down 200,000 VND/tael for both buying and selling).
The price of SJC gold bars at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is traded by the enterprise at 82.5 million VND/tael for buying - 84.5 million VND/tael for selling (down 200,000 VND/tael for both buying and selling). The price of plain round gold rings is traded by the enterprise at 82.9 million VND/tael for buying - 84.5 million VND/tael for selling (down 200,000 VND/tael for both buying and selling).
PNJ gold price buys 83.6 million VND/tael - sells 84.5 million VND/tael (down 200,000 VND/tael for both buys and sells).

World gold price today December 31, 2024 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,607.7 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 0.42% compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,754 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 80.9 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 3.6 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices fell in a thin session as traders awaited fresh catalysts, including US economic data next week that could influence the Federal Reserve's interest rate outlook for 2025, as well as policies from incoming President Donald Trump.
“I think it’s just a weak holiday trade. There will probably be some balancing before the end of the year,” said Peter Grant, vice president and senior metals strategist at Zaner Metals.
Geopolitical tensions are expected to remain high next year as central banks continue to buy gold, while the U.S. debt situation is likely to worsen and the deficit will increase under the Trump administration, boosting safe-haven demand for the metal, Grant said.
Gold prices have risen nearly 27% this year, hitting a record high of $2,790.15 on October 31, as investors sought the yellow metal amid geopolitical uncertainty and U.S. interest rate cuts.
Predictions of major US policy changes by 2025, including potential tariffs, deregulation and tax changes, have increased as Trump prepares to take office in January.
Earlier this month, Fed Chairman Jerome Powell signaled caution about further rate cuts after delivering a 0.25 percentage point reduction, in line with market expectations.
A slew of US economic data will be released next week including employment figures, the ADP jobs report, the Fed's December FOMC meeting minutes and the US jobs report to gauge the health of the economy.
Gold bullion is seen as a hedge against inflation and volatility but high interest rates reduce the appeal of holding the non-yielding asset.
Spot silver fell 1.3% to $28.98 an ounce and platinum fell 1.5% to $905.62 after hitting a more than three-month low on Friday.
Palladium fell 1% to $902.16.
