(NLDO) – Domestic gold prices this morning had unexpected developments when SJC gold bars were stable, plain gold rings continued to decrease despite world prices increasing again.
On the morning of January 15, SJC Company listed the buying price of gold bars at 84.4 million VND/tael and the selling price at 86.4 million VND/tael, stable compared to yesterday.
PNJ Company sells at the same price as SJC Company, while DOJI sells at 86.8 million VND/tael, which is 400,000 VND/tael higher than other units.
Meanwhile, Mi Hong Company sells SJC gold bars for only 85.8 million VND/tael; while the selling price at ACB and Eximbank ranges from 86 million VND to 86.4 million VND/tael.
On the buying side, each business also listed a different price, from about 84.4 million VND to 84.8 million VND/tael - about 2 million VND lower than the selling side.
SJC gold bar and gold ring prices go against the world trend
Meanwhile, the price of gold rings and jewelry of all kinds continued to fall. SJC Company bought plain gold rings at VND84.4 million/tael and sold at VND86.1 million/tael - a decrease of VND100,000 compared to the end of yesterday. The price of 99.99 gold rings unexpectedly fell faster than gold bars.
Notably, domestic gold prices are stable or falling in the context of world gold prices recovering.
This morning, the price of gold on the international market was traded at 2,671 USD/ounce, up about 5 USD/ounce compared to the previous session. During the session, there was a time when the precious metal was close to 2,680 USD/ounce.
Gold prices edged up as the USD index in the international market cooled down to near 109 points, down from 109.4 points previously. Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 82.3 million VND/tael.
