Doji Hanoi listed at 66.4 million VND/tael (buy) and 67 million VND/tael (sell). Doji Ho Chi Minh City bought SJC gold at 66.45 million VND/tael and sold at 66.95 million VND/tael.
Domestic gold prices decreased in the session of July 3, then turned to increase in the session of July 4.
On July 5, domestic gold prices plummeted, down 150,000 VND/tael compared to the previous session. SJC Hanoi and Doji Hanoi listed prices at 66.35 million VND/tael (buy) and 66.95 million VND/tael (sell).
At the end of the trading session on July 8, the price of 9999 gold bars at SJC Ho Chi Minh City was 66.45 million VND/tael (buy) and 67.15 million VND/tael (sell). SJC Hanoi listed at 66.45 million VND/tael (buy) and 67.17 million VND/tael (sell).
Doji Hanoi listed at 66.45 million VND/tael (buy) and 67.05 million VND/tael (sell). Doji Ho Chi Minh City bought SJC gold at 66.45 million VND/tael and sold at 66.95 million VND/tael.
If calculated from the beginning of the week, the gold price at SJC increased by 100,000 VND/tael. Meanwhile, the gold price at Doji increased by 50,000 VND/tael.
On the world market, the spot gold price on July 8 (at 4:00 p.m., Vietnam time) was trading at 1,924 USD/ounce.
According to the World Gold Council, forecasting gold price trends in the second half of 2023, the gold market will face difficulties if central banks tighten monetary policy further, increasing the opportunity cost of holding gold.
