Gold price increased to over 70 million VND/tael
Today, the price of 9999 gold, SJC, 24K, Mi Hong, PNJ, DOJI increased to over 70 million VND/tael. The world gold price decreased slightly.
At the time of survey at 5:30 a.m. on October 13, 2023, the gold price on the trading floors of some companies was as follows:
DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 69.45 million VND/tael for buying and 70.35 million VND/tael for selling.

At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, at the time of survey, the listed price of SJC gold was at 69.45 - 70.20 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 69.68 - 70.33 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 69.68 - 70.53 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
Japanese Yen exchange rate weakens across the board
Japanese Yen exchange rate surveyed on the morning of October 13, 2023 at banks, specifically as follows:
At Vietcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate is 159.12 VND/JPY and the selling rate is 168.43 VND/JPY, down 0.47 VND and 0.5 VND, respectively. At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate decreased 0.7 VND in both buying and selling, equivalent to 158.95 VND/JPY and 168.65 VND/JPY. At BIDV, the buying rate decreased 0.38 VND in buying and 0.37 VND in selling, reaching 160.78 VND/JPY and 169.12 VND/JPY, respectively. At Agribank , the buying and selling rates are 161.53 VND/JPY and 165.52 VND/JPY, down 0.2 VND in buying and down 0.22 VND in selling.
At Eximbank, the buying rate decreased by 0.37 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.39 VND, respectively, to 161.60 VND/JPY and 166.08 VND/JPY. At Techcombank , the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 0.47 VND and the selling rate decreased by 0.52 VND, respectively, to 157.26 VND/JPY and 169.51 VND/JPY.
At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate decreased by 17.6 VND at the buying price, equivalent to 144.2 VND/JPY, and decreased by 0.41 VND at the selling price, equivalent to 167.97 VND/JPY.
According to the survey, today Eximbank is the bank with the highest buying rate of Japanese Yen and also the bank with the lowest selling rate.
Domestic coffee prices drop by 500 VND/kg
Updated at 4:54 a.m. on October 13, 2023, domestic coffee prices continued to decrease by 400-500 VND/kg, currently the average coffee price in the Central Highlands provinces is around 63,200 VND/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces on October 13, 2023 was VND 63,200/kg (down VND 400/kg). In Dak Nong province, coffee was purchased at VND 63,300/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, is purchased at 62,800 VND/kg.
In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, coffee price is currently at 63,200 VND/kg. In Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 63,300 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper prices trend sideways
Pepper price on October 13, 2023, domestic market in the Central Highlands and Southeast regions remained stable, fluctuating from 67,500 VND/kg - 70,500 VND/kg.
In particular, the Central Highlands region fluctuates from 67,500 VND/kg - 69,000 VND/kg. Specifically, the price of Chu Se pepper (Gia Lai) is purchased by traders at 67,500 VND/kg. The price of Dak Lak and Dak Nong pepper continues to be purchased at 69,000 VND/kg, the same as yesterday.

Meanwhile, in the Southeast region, prices range from 70,000 VND/kg to 70,500 VND/kg. Specifically, Binh Phuoc pepper prices are still being purchased at 70,000 VND/kg, while Ba Ria Vung Tau pepper prices are being purchased at 70,500 VND/kg, the same as yesterday.
