World oil prices
Oil prices fell as US President Donald Trump vowed to provide new weapons to Ukraine and threatened to impose sanctions on countries that buy Russian exports unless Moscow agrees to a peace deal with Ukraine within the next 50 days.
Oil prices were also under pressure as investors weighed the potential impact of US President Donald Trump's tariff policies on global economic growth.
On July 9, Mr. Trump threatened Brazil, Latin America's largest economy, with a punitive 50% tariff on exports to the United States.
In response, Brazil's president convened a meeting of ministers on Thursday to decide on the country's response, after hinting in a social media post on July 9 that the tariffs would be met with an equivalent response.

Mr. Trump also announced plans to impose tariffs on copper, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals. The Trump administration sent tariff letters to the Philippines, Iraq and other countries, adding to more than a dozen letters sent earlier this week, including to major U.S. suppliers South Korea and Japan.
However, analysts say Mr Trump's history of delaying tariffs has made markets less responsive to such announcements.
Policymakers remain concerned about inflationary pressures from Mr Trump’s tariffs. Higher interest rates make borrowing more expensive and reduce oil demand.
