Gasoline prices increase again
From 3:00 p.m. on November 13, domestic gasoline prices were adjusted up according to the announcement of the Ministry of Industry and Trade .
RON95-III gasoline increased by 160 VND/liter, reaching 20,576 VND/liter.
E5RON92 gasoline increased by 162 VND/liter, raising the ceiling price to 19,844 VND/liter.
Oil products also increased strongly, of which diesel increased by VND541/liter to VND19,864/liter, while kerosene increased by VND540/liter to VND19,935/liter.
Fuel oil alone decreased slightly by 246 VND/kg, to 14,074 VND/kg.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, this adjustment period aims to ensure domestic prices reflect world trends after many days of increased finished oil prices.
The adjustment also aims to maintain a reasonable difference between E5RON92 and RON95-III to encourage the use of biofuels, while ensuring harmonious benefits between businesses and consumers.
Since the beginning of the year, the petroleum price stabilization fund has not been set aside or used. Petrolimex said the fund balance at the enterprise is currently 3,086 billion VND.
In the most recent management period, gasoline and oil prices showed mixed movements. E5RON92 and RON95-III both decreased slightly, while diesel and kerosene increased. Fuel oil decreased further, reflecting the divergent fluctuations in the prices of petroleum products on the international market.
The November 13 adjustment showed a reversal of the trend as both gasoline and oil rose at the same time, signaling signs of recovery in global energy demand.
Price management under the new Decree: More flexible, shorter delay
According to Decree 80/2023/ND-CP, the gasoline price management cycle is standardized every Thursday, helping adjustments more closely follow international market fluctuations. The new regulation also increases flexibility and transparency in gasoline market management, helping businesses reduce inventory risks and improve price forecasting capabilities.
The price increase in the November 13 operating period did not create a big shock but reflected the sensitivity of the energy market. The fact that world oil prices continue to fluctuate strongly in the context of an unstable global economy makes the domestic price adjustment cycle expected to continue to fluctuate in the coming time.
In that context, maintaining a stable supply, balancing domestic and international prices, and orienting the use of clean fuels will continue to be the focus of the regulatory agency.
