The Vietnamese community football tournament in Russia was a great success

On the afternoon of July 27, at the "Bratislava Park" stadium in Moscow, the final match and closing ceremony of the Vietnamese Community Football Tournament in the Russian Federation 7 took place - the largest football tournament of the Vietnamese people. Vietnam in the land of Aries.

Attending the event were Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Dang Minh Khoi, leaders of departments of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Russia Do Xuan Hoang, representatives of compatriots' associations, Women's Association, Vietnamese Veterans Association in Russia, and many Vietnamese people doing business and living in Russia who love sports.

After 5 weeks of competition with 46 matches, the two teams FC Anh Em Moscow and FC Thai Binh Moscow excellently surpassed 14 other teams to appear in the final. As expected of the audience, the two teams played a match of high professional quality, with many beautiful and fierce plays. 

After 60 minutes of official play with a 1-1 draw, the two teams were forced to enter a penalty shootout to determine the champion. FC Anh Em Moscow, with many years of experience playing in the community football playground, has excellently won the Vietnamese Community Football Championship in Russia in 2024.

Speaking at the Closing Ceremony, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi reiterated the feelings of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for the Vietnamese community in Russia, requesting all Vietnamese people to be present on the field. On the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, July 27, Ambassador Dang Minh Khoi asked people to pay tribute to the families of war invalids and martyrs, those who sacrificed their lives so that Vietnam can have a life of peace and development. like nowadays. The Ambassador praised, recognized and appreciated the contributions of the Vietnamese Association in Russia to the Vietnamese community in general, and organized a successful football tournament, a healthy sports playground, helping to increase the number of Vietnamese people in Russia. solidarity in the community in particular.

For his part, Mr. Do Xuan Hoang, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in the Russian Federation, accepted the Ambassador's instructions and expressed his thanks to the Embassy and Vietnamese representative agencies in the Russian Federation for their support.
