Lai Chau province is a locality with majestic natural landscapes and attractive running routes, which are favorable factors for organizing large-scale running competitions, creating a widespread effect of the image of a safe and hospitable destination.
The Lai Chau Marathon 2025 is a sports activity associated with tourism to promote the movement of training and competing in sports in general and Marathon running in particular. Thereby contributing to the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and promoting the role, meaning and effects of physical exercise, improving health, improving the quality of life, building a healthy lifestyle and cultural environment.
Accordingly, the Lai Chau Marathon 2025 will take place on October 5, with 4 distances: 5.6 km; 10 km; 21 km and 42 km. The organizers expect to attract about 1,000 athletes from inside and outside the province to participate. The event also has a space to display OCOP products, cuisine and tourism to serve athletes and tourists.
Notably, this year's Lai Chau Marathon is one of the main activities of the Lai Chau Tourism - Culture Week 2025, which will take place from October 3 to 5. The week aims to honor the cultural identity of ethnic groups, promote Lai Chau tourism to domestic and international friends, and open up opportunities for cooperation and market connection for travel businesses.
The event not only affirms the tourism and sports potential of Lai Chau province, but also contributes to preserving and spreading traditional cultural values, promoting sustainable tourism development, and improving the lives of ethnic people in Lai Chau province.
