Disbursement of more than 11 billion VND to help women expand production and business

DNO - The Women's Union of Da Nang City has just disbursed capital from the Women's Development Support Fund to 203 members in An Khe ward and Hoa Tien commune.

This is a practical resource, helping women have the conditions to invest in expanding production, business, and developing the family economy ; at the same time contributing to increasing income, sustainably reducing poverty and promoting gender equality at the grassroots level.

In An Khe ward, the association disbursed VND3.41 billion to 86 households; in Hoa Tien commune, 117 households accessed VND3.48 billion. Each household borrowed from VND30 to VND40 million depending on production needs.

Previously, on November 10, the City Women's Union disbursed 4.6 billion VND to 116 members of Cam Le ward.

Preferential lending activities from the fund continue to affirm the association's accompanying role in supporting members in economic development, improving the quality of life and creating sustainable livelihoods for women in the city.
