The photo was taken during the A50 event series (celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification) on Bach Dang wharf, very bustling and brilliant, "capturing" the moment when the drones were creating the most beautiful shapes, everyone had their phones ready to take pictures.
“I took the photo at that moment, a Saigon that was happy, alive, and proud. For me, that is 'Happy Vietnam,' the happiness of being part of the flow of history, and preserving it through a frame,” author Pham Ngoc Long Thien shared about the work.
Meanwhile, Luu Minh Khuong's video is the result of 2 years of traveling around Vietnam to record everyday moments of people, from adults working, children playing to tourists visiting the places he also visited.
“I observed and learned a lot from the people I photographed. I gave them printed photos and they gave me happy smiles,” said author Luu Minh Khuong.
