According to the Organizing Committee, the 18th Vietnam Journalists Association Cup Table Tennis Championship will take place from December 19th to 21st, 2025, at the Hanoi Gymnasium, 12 Trinh Hoai Duc Street, O Cho Dua Ward, Hanoi. This event holds special significance as the final major activity in the series of events commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day, occurring in the last month of 2025 – a year full of proud milestones, deeply imprinting the spirit of solidarity, courage, and responsibility of Vietnamese revolutionary journalists.
With a rich tradition spanning decades, the Vietnam Journalists Association Cup Table Tennis Championship has affirmed its position as an important sporting event with widespread influence within the journalistic community nationwide. Each season, the event is not only a sporting festival but also a bridge connecting and strengthening understanding and cooperation between media agencies from the central to local levels. The tournament has actively contributed to promoting the "National Movement for Physical Training Following the Example of the Great President Ho Chi Minh," encouraging a love for the profession, and fulfilling the political tasks and social responsibilities of the journalistic community.

The 18th Vietnam Journalists Association Cup Table Tennis Championship – 2025 has attracted the attention and participation of nearly 200 athletes, including journalists and members of the Vietnam Journalists Association from media agencies and associations nationwide. The opening ceremony will be held on the morning of December 19, 2025, and the closing ceremony and awards presentation for outstanding teams and athletes will take place on the afternoon of December 21, 2025.
The 18th Vietnam Journalists Association Cup Table Tennis Championship – 2025 will be held with 14 competition categories including: Men's Team (no age distinction); Women's Team (no age distinction); Men's Singles 45 years and older; Men's Singles under 45 years; Women's Singles 45 years and older; Women's Singles under 45 years; Men's Doubles (Leaders); Women's Singles (Leaders); Men's Doubles (no age distinction); Women's Doubles (no age distinction); Mixed Doubles 45 years and older; Mixed Doubles under 45 years; Men's Doubles with Leaders (no age distinction); Women's Doubles with Leaders (no age distinction).

The Organizing Committee stipulates that table tennis players with the rank of Master or National Level I from 2019 and earlier are allowed to participate in team and doubles competitions, but not in singles competitions. Table tennis players with the rank of Master or National Level I from 2019 onwards are not allowed to participate in the competition.
Competition format: Team competition follows the Swaythling format with 5 singles matches (A–X, B–Y, C–Z, A–Y, B–X). Doubles and singles matches consist of 5 sets, best of 3. Depending on the number of participants in each event, the Organizing Committee will decide whether to use a knockout or round-robin format.
The Organizing Committee will award trophies, flags, medals, and prize money to the teams, pairs, and individuals who win first, second, and joint third place in each competition category. The prize money for each award will be determined separately, announced, and sent to the athletes.
