The Testing and Inspection Center is a laboratory located at Bac Luan II Chemical Inspection Site, with a total area of 450m2, designed and equipped with modern equipment according to international standards ISO 17025/2017 with a total investment of 50 billion VND. The center is scientifically arranged with full working space for sample reception, processing, analysis and operation management, meeting the requirements for implementing testing activities effectively and safely. In particular, the laboratory is organized in a closed process, allowing results to be returned within 24 hours for many priority groups of indicators and samples that need to be processed quickly.

The laboratory is equipped with modern machinery systems such as ultra-high performance liquid chromatography equipment connected to triple quadrupole mass spectrometer Model: Agilent 1290 Infinity III UHPLC; Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS), Model: Agilent 7900 ICP-MS, Sample Digester... which can quickly check and test samples on exported seafood and fruits. In the near future, the laboratory can check items such as durian, exported seafood with a capacity of up to 100 samples/day.
Investing in state-of-the-art equipment and in-depth analysis helps the laboratory meet international standards. The LC - MS/MS system has high sensitivity and selectivity, allowing accurate quantification of pesticide residues, antibiotics, microbial toxins and other trace compounds in food; ICP - MS inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry is used to determine heavy metals and trace elements at parts per billion and parts per trillion levels, providing accurate and fast results and meeting the requirements for food safety assessment according to national and international standards.

Ms. Pham Thi Loan Ha, Head of the Laboratory, said: The laboratory invests in modern and professional machinery and equipment systems. In addition, in terms of human resources, the laboratory's technicians and specialists are all trained intensively before operating, ensuring that the testing process is performed accurately, with high objectivity, safety and reliability.
As a technical step, ensuring the quality of goods before customs clearance, performing quick, accurate and mutually recognized tests, the laboratory helps create transparency and consistency in quality control. Putting the laboratory into operation will help avoid unnecessary losses such as: goods being turned back, goods being destroyed... due to not meeting standards.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Deputy Director of Tan Dai Duong International Import-Export Joint Stock Company, said: The laboratory is currently in trial operation. When compared with the analysis results from the Chinese laboratory, the two systems: one for aquatic products and one for agricultural and local products, both gave 100% matching results. We are waiting for the competent authority to announce the results so that we can officially start operating.
The operation of the laboratory will contribute to shortening customs clearance time, increasing transparency and is an important link in building Mong Cai smart border gate.
