Director of Hanoi City Police Department directs verification of case of ward police officer accused of beating people

According to the company’s surveillance camera, a working group – including a man in plain clothes and a blue short-sleeved shirt – asked those present to show their identification and put their phones on the table. Afterwards, a girl, believed to be the company owner’s younger sister, spoke to the working group.

The clip does not clearly record the content of the exchange, but it does record the scene of the man in plain clothes suddenly slapping the girl on the head several times. The person who posted it said the girl was assaulted because she used her phone to record the incident.

Surveillance camera recorded the incident

On the afternoon of May 13, the Director of Hanoi City Police Department directed relevant units to urgently verify, clarify and handle the case according to regulations. Official information will be announced in the near future.

According to Hanoi City Police, on May 6, Duong Noi Ward Police inspected a company at La Duong service land to verify information related to security and order.
