State Bank of Vietnam, Regional Branch 14 includes 5 provinces and cities: Can Tho, Hau Giang, Soc Trang , Bac Lieu, Vinh Long. According to the State Bank of Vietnam, implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 6th Central Conference, Session XII on a number of issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently, the State Bank has recognized this as an important and urgent political task and thoroughly grasped the spirit of urgency, making efforts to implement it resolutely and effectively with the highest political determination throughout the system. In less than 3 months, the State Bank has basically completed the reorganization of the apparatus, ensuring the correct progress and roadmap.
The State Bank of Vietnam has completed the reorganization of 63 provincial and municipal branches of the State Bank into 15 regional State banks, ensuring the implementation of state management, payment activities, monetary security, and treasury for the banking system.
On February 24, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam signed decisions to appoint the Director and Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 14, the decisions taking effect from March 1. Specifically, Mr. Tran Quoc Ha, Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Can Tho City Branch, was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 14 Branch and assigned the Acting Director. Along with that, the Deputy Directors of the State Bank of Vietnam Region 14 Branch were appointed.
According to the State Bank of Vietnam, the consolidation of the organizational apparatus, including 15 regional State Banks, is the result of serious and drastic efforts by the Board of Directors and the Steering Committee of the State Bank, implementing the consistent directions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on implementing the "revolution" of streamlining the apparatus, which is a key, urgent task, of special significance to the development of the country in the new era. In the coming time, the State Bank will continue to carry out related tasks to ensure progress, quality and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management, meeting the requirements of the Central Steering Committee and the Government's Steering Committee.
After the announcement ceremony, a conference was held to promote bank credit, contributing to economic growth in region 14. Along with that, the State Bank branch in region 14 reported on the bank credit situation in the area; orientations, solutions and handling of difficulties, obstacles, recommendations and proposals to promote bank credit activities, support production and business activities and contribute to promoting economic growth.
