On December 8-9, 2025, the Provincial Center for Disease Control monitored and supported the second Vitamin A supplementation and deworming campaign for children in 2025 at the General Ngoang Health Station under the Quang Lam Commune Health Station and the Co Ba Commune Health Station.

Via ​ supervisor close shows that both Health Stations have plans to implement the activities of taking vitamin A and deworming medicine according to the program's instructions. Prepare all necessary tools, enough vitamin A for children from 6 to 60 months old, deworming medicine for children from 24 to 60 months old, arrange vitamin A and deworming medicine points according to the correct procedure including: Reception area, screening table, vitamin A table , deworming medicine table. Give children vitamin A and deworming medicine in the correct dosage and in the correct way; have books and records to record the distribution of nutritional products, vitamin A and deworming medicine...

In addition, the Stations also hang banners, stick posters, broadcast propaganda on loudspeakers and directly advise mothers with children under 5 years old on the benefits of vitamin A, the benefits of breastfeeding, how to take care of nutrition in the first 1,000 days of a child's life; how to properly use and process foods rich in micronutrients, and recommend that mothers take their children to take vitamin A and deworming medicine twice a year.

Up to the time of monitoring at the General Ngoang Health Station under the Quang Lam Commune Health Station , 99/107 children aged 6-60 months were given vitamin A, reaching 92.5 % ; 68/77 children aged 24-60 months were given deworming medicine, reaching 88.2 % of the plan. At the Co Ba Commune Health Station , 375/615 children aged 6-60 months were given vitamin A, reaching 61 %; 195/360 children aged 24-60 months were given deworming medicine, reaching 54.2 %.

Previously, to effectively implement the campaign, ensuring safety and proper techniques, the Center for Disease Control instructed the Health Centers to direct the Health Stations to review and make a list of all children of the right age; at the same time, strengthen communication on prevention of micronutrient deficiency, integrating with communication activities and health education in the community. During the implementation period, the Center for Disease Control established monitoring teams , supported the campaign to take vitamin A, deworming medicine and assessed nutritional status at a number of health stations.

The campaign aims to ensure that all children of all ages in the province receive vitamin A supplements and deworming according to professional guidelines, are monitored for safety, and have their nutrition assessed fully. In particular, strive to have over 99 % of children aged 6 to under 60 months receive adequate doses of vitamin A; over 99 % of children aged 24-60 months receive deworming medication as prescribed and effectively.
