On June 21, Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Tan Son Nhat International Airport) announced that it had issued a document to temporarily suspend the transportation business activities of Saigon Taxi Transport Company Limited and Saigon Tourist Transport Joint Stock Company.

Accordingly, the Port's leaders have agreed to temporarily suspend the passenger transport service business by taxi at the port for Saigon Taxi Transport Company Limited and Saigon Tourist Transport Joint Stock Company to handle related violations.
The time of application is from 0:00 on June 22 until further notice. Tan Son Nhat International Airport requests the two violating transport business units to comply with the regulations.
Previously, the Inspectorate of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport coordinated with the Tan Son Nhat International Airport Police Station and airport security forces to inspect two taxis of Saigon Taxi Transport Company Limited and Saigon Tourist Transport Joint Stock Company.
Through inspection, authorities discovered that these drivers' vehicles had devices installed to cheat on fares.
Tan Son Nhat International Airport has many taxi companies picking up and dropping off passengers. People traveling need to carefully choose their taxi company to avoid being affected.
The authorities have drawn up a record of administrative violations against the driver and the vehicle owner according to regulations. Specifically, the two drivers were fined 700,000 VND each and the company was fined 11 million VND.
At the same time, apply additional penalty of revoking taxi badge for 2 months.
Also related to the incident, on June 20, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam sent a document to the Southern Airport Authority and Tan Son Nhat International Airport requesting them to strengthen security and order assurance and handle illegal taxis and taxi fare fraud at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
