Instead of just recreating the style, he integrated the SNES system into the Nike Air Max 90 shoe.

The idea came from observing collaborations between famous shoe brands and games.

The shoes are equipped with a Raspberry Pi Zero W running RetroPie, with enough battery to play for 30 minutes continuously.

AIR SNES supports original SNES controllers and is compatible with the 8BitDo Mod Kit via Bluetooth.

Users can connect the shoe to a screen to play classic games like Donkey Kong Country.

Bonzanini says this is a way to honor sneaker culture and SNES history.
