Introducing the book by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on building the People's Public Security force

On the afternoon of November 11, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and the National Political Publishing House to organize a ceremony to introduce the book "Building a truly clean and strong People's Public Security force, selflessly serving the country and the people" by the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

Attending were: Politburo member, Minister of Public Security , General Luong Tam Quang; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Phan Xuan Thuy; Director, Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Truth Vu Trong Lam; representatives of central ministries, departments and branches.

The book is a work of profound theoretical and practical value, demonstrating General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's consistent concern for the task of ensuring national security, social order and safety, and firmly protecting the Fatherland.

With a capacity of 600 pages, the book selects 39 important articles, speeches, letters and instructions of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong to the People's Public Security force through many periods, in many working positions, vividly reflecting the reality, at the same time demonstrating the consistent theoretical thinking, strategic vision and sentiment of Comrade towards the task of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety. The book selects 56 opinions, expressing the sentiments of officers and soldiers of forces and localities across the country.

At the introduction ceremony, Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang said that during his lifetime, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong always paid special attention to and made great contributions to the cause of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, and building the People's Public Security force. In order for the People's Public Security force to successfully complete all political tasks, worthy of being a reliable support of the Party, State and People, Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong paid special attention to directing the work of building a truly clean and strong People's Public Security force, closely attached to the People, and closely coordinating with the People's Army.

“Comrade has repeatedly advised, always remember, engrave in my mind and carry out the truth of “forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people”, “as long as the Party exists, I exist”, “honor is the most sacred and noble thing”, always keep in mind the teachings of beloved Uncle Ho “Our police are the People's Police, serving the people and relying on the people to work”; “The Army and the Police are two core forces, truly the “sword” and “shield”, the two wings of a bird, protecting and maintaining peace, stability and development of the country, therefore we must constantly strengthen the relationship of solidarity and close attachment” - Minister Luong Tam Quang emphasized.

The articles, speeches and discussions of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong deeply demonstrate the intelligence, enthusiasm, vision, responsibility as well as the special concern, deep affection and trust of the leader of our Party towards the People's Public Security force, collected in the book launched today.

The book is not only a valuable document but also a guideline for the entire People's Public Security force in working, fighting and building the force in the following years; for local Party committees and authorities at all levels in leading and managing the work of protecting security and order; encouraging, inspiring patriotism, guiding the masses to actively participate in the cause of protecting the Fatherland in general and the cause of protecting security and order in particular.

According to Director and Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, the articles and speeches of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong on the task of building the People's Public Security force are precious legacies of special importance to the People's Public Security force.

The book's content is divided into 3 parts. Part 1: Building a strong, comprehensive People's Public Security force, worthy of being an absolutely loyal force to the Party, State and People . In which, 20 articles, speeches, letters, and interviews of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong are selected, demonstrating the consistent thinking, strategic vision, and deep concern of the Party Central Committee and Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong on the task of innovating the Public Security organization to be lean, compact, strong, and modern; educating and training Public Security officers and soldiers with pure revolutionary ethics and proficient professional skills, worthy of being the "steel shield" and "sword" protecting the Party, State and people.

Part two: The People's Public Security force firmly protects national security, ensures social order and safety, sacrifices itself for the country, serves the people - a selection of 19 articles and speeches by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, affirming the requirement to build a People's Public Security force with steadfast political will, absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, Party, State, and people; has pure moral qualities, a healthy lifestyle, is exemplary, closely attached to the people, serves the people; has a high sense of discipline, is strict, and is ready to fight and sacrifice for the Fatherland.

Part three: Outstanding impressions, deep affection of the People's Public Security force for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the political responsibility of the People's Public Security force in the new period . This part focuses on selecting 56 typical opinions, demonstrating the trust and serious compliance of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security with the leadership of the Party, the State, and Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong to firmly protect national security, ensure social order and safety. In addition, there are perspectives, thoughts, and emotions expressing the consensus and trust of officers and soldiers of all forces, across regions, areas, and localities, with the leadership of the Party, the State, and Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong.

The book has provided strategic arguments on the role and position of the People's Public Security force in protecting and building the Fatherland, systematizing orientations and solutions for the People's Public Security force to continue to excellently fulfill its tasks, worthy of the glorious tradition of 80 years of building, fighting and growing. The guidance, orientations and trust of Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong are a source of motivation for each officer and soldier to continue to train, strive, maintain the good qualities of a revolutionary Public Security officer, and excellently fulfill the task of protecting national security, order and social safety, forgetting oneself for the country and serving the people.
