At the congress, the Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association highly appreciated the achievements of the Ca Mau Provincial Association. Mr. Tran Trong Dung expressed his wish that the Association should strengthen its efforts in training and improving awareness and understanding of politics and law, especially in the context of the Artificial Intelligence Law coming into effect in March 2026, the 2025 Press Law and its guiding decrees and circulars, and the Cybersecurity Law coming into effect on July 1, 2026... with many new contents related to journalistic work. The Association should pay special attention to organizing training courses on multimedia journalism skills, data journalism, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in content creation, especially on digital platforms; and organize more field trips and exchanges of knowledge between branches and other provincial associations.
The Ca Mau Provincial Journalists Association needs to pay close attention to and understand the circumstances, thoughts, and aspirations of its members in order to proactively advise and propose support measures to stabilize income and improve the material and spiritual lives of its members. The new Executive Committee needs to grasp the situation and proactively advise the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province on more practical support policies for journalists; sharing and clearly demonstrating the community responsibility and humanitarian spirit of journalists. Through this, the image of journalists will not only be that of news providers but also that of bridges of compassion, contributing to building a humane and compassionate society.

According to Mr. Bui Tan Bay, Vice Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Council, the team of journalists in Ca Mau province has continuously matured over the years, closely following reality, promptly reflecting political, economic, and social life, contributing to spreading the image of a homeland rich in revolutionary traditions, dynamic, innovative, and integrated. Especially after the province's merger, Ca Mau entered a new phase of development with higher demands, a larger scale, and more challenges.
In the coming period, all levels of associations, press agencies, officials, reporters, editors, and the entire team of journalists in Ca Mau must always closely follow the leadership and guidance of the Central Committee, the Vietnam Journalists Association, and the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; continue to promote the dissemination of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and the achievements of the locality and the whole country in all fields in the process of reform; encourage, motivate, and expand patriotic emulation movements, exemplary collectives and individuals, and good people and good deeds. The press needs to continue to actively and effectively participate in the fight against bureaucracy, corruption, waste, negative phenomena, and social evils; prevent and repel the decline in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle among a segment of officials, Party members, and society.

The Vietnam Journalists Association of Ca Mau province, during its term from 2026 to 2031, needs to continue actively innovating its content and methods of operation in a practical and effective direction; consolidate and build a truly strong association; focus on professional training and protect the legitimate rights of its members and journalists in journalistic activities. The Association should effectively fulfill its role in advising and providing social critique; promptly provide official information, and create favorable conditions for journalists to operate effectively and in accordance with the law.
With the spirit of "Unity, democracy, innovation, creativity, intelligence, and humanism," the delegates elected the Executive Committee of the Ca Mau Provincial Journalists Association for the first term, 2026-2031, consisting of 13 members; and elected the Inspection Committee consisting of 5 members. Mr. Tran Thanh Dung, Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Journalists Association for the term 2020-2025, was elected to the position of Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial Journalists Association for the first term, 2026-2031.

The Ca Mau Provincial Journalists Association, for the 2026-2031 term, aims to continue fulfilling its role in uniting and gathering journalists in the province; creating conditions for its members to diligently study and improve their professional skills; mastering information, ensuring citizens' right to information and equality, and eliminating dishonest information, incitement of curiosity, unhealthy tastes, and commercialization. The Association sets a target of training and developing 100-150 professional journalists from various media agencies and approximately 100-200 collaborators annually. Alongside this, it will continue to improve the quality of the Tran Ngoc Hy Traditional Journalism Award and the Spring Press Festival.
At the congress, many presentations clarified the advantages, difficulties, and challenges in the context of the digital age, along with issues related to maintaining the passion for the profession; promoting the role of resident reporters in disseminating information on the implementation of local socio-economic development tasks…
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province awarded Certificates of Commendation to collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results during the 2020-2025 term.
