Over the past period, the Vinh Hau Commune Police have effectively played a pivotal role in ensuring security and order, proactively advising on many practical solutions that contribute to maintaining political stability, order, and social safety in the area.

Lieutenant Colonel Thieu Van Doan, Head of the Vinh Hau Commune Police, stated that the unit consistently adheres to the directives of the Provincial Police Directorate, the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee, and the Commune People's Committee, thereby implementing comprehensive measures and achieving many positive results. Notably, they have proactively monitored the local situation, closely managing individuals involved in criminal activities, drug trafficking, and social vices, especially illegal lottery and cockfighting. State management of security and order has been effectively implemented, linked to the Government's Project 06 on population data and vehicle registration, contributing to improved administrative reform. Simultaneously, the Commune Police have organized numerous intensive campaigns to combat and suppress crime, ensuring security and order during important political events, holidays, and major national activities.

Since the beginning of the year, the crime situation in the area has been under control. The commune police force has detected and handled many cases related to drugs and gambling; compiled dossiers to send individuals to compulsory rehabilitation, and managed them after rehabilitation according to regulations. Notably, the force promptly prevented a large gathering with signs of disturbing public order involving dozens of teenagers carrying weapons, stemming from a conflict on social media.

Lieutenant Colonel Thieu Van Doan stated: “The commune police recognize that strength lies in the people, so they proactively implement many solutions to effectively carry out propaganda work and build a movement of all citizens protecting national security. The unit coordinates propaganda through the commune's public address system; at village meetings; and collaborates with the Fatherland Front and other organizations to integrate propaganda into religious lectures by the Hoa Hao Buddhist Management Board and the management boards of Cham mosques in the commune…”

The commune police are strengthening effective crime prevention and control models such as the "Security Camera" model, the "Two Safe" model (security and social welfare), and the "Neighborhood Fire Safety Team" model. Mr. Le Cong Tran, residing in Vinh Bao hamlet, shared: "I highly appreciate the nationwide movement to protect national security, especially the presence of the commune police officers, which helps stabilize the security and order situation in the area. Theft and social evils have decreased, creating a sense of security for people to live and work. Self-governing models and night patrols are trusted and supported by the people."

To maintain and build upon the achievements, in the coming period, the Vinh Hau Commune Police will continue to advise the Provincial Police Directorate, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, and the People's Committee of the commune on the fight against and prevention of all types of crime, especially property theft, drug-related crimes, gambling, and public disorder. At the same time, they will strengthen coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the commune and other organizations to mobilize the combined strength of the entire political system in maintaining local security and order.

The commune police continue to effectively monitor the local situation, closely managing prominent individuals in the area, ensuring they are not caught off guard or unprepared in any situation. Simultaneously, they focus on implementing resolutions, programs, and plans to ensure security and order in the area, with a focus on achieving the "drug-free commune" plan by 2026; building 50% of hamlets to be drug-free, aiming to achieve 100% drug-free commune by 2028. The commune continues to promote the application of information technology in residence management, focusing on issuing electronic identity cards and identification, updating social security accounts on VNeID, and combating high-tech crime.

With a determination to build a clean, strong, professional, and elite force, the Vinh Hau Commune Police are gradually affirming their role as a solid support for the people, contributing to maintaining peace at the grassroots level.
