Along with the rest of the country, the officers and soldiers of the DK1 offshore platform, serving in the open sea, have carried out practical activities in preparation for the 14th National Congress of the Party.

In the spirit of emulation leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party, officers and soldiers of the 2nd Naval Region on the DK1 offshore platforms are working day and night to uphold their determination, successfully completing training and combat readiness tasks, and firmly protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands.

Upholding the heroic traditions of the DK1 Battalion

To successfully fulfill their assigned tasks, the officers and soldiers of the DK1 platform continuously improve the quality of training, combat readiness, and mastery of weapons and equipment. The officers and soldiers always strive to uphold the heroic traditions of the DK1 Battalion: "Resilient and courageous; overcoming all difficulties; united and disciplined; maintaining sovereignty," while also serving as a solid support for fishermen venturing out to sea.

Based on the emulation campaign launched by the Navy, the 2nd Naval Region, the Party Committee and Command of the DK1 Battalion launched a high-intensity emulation campaign to accelerate and break through to successfully complete the goals and tasks to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) and the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The emulation campaign, with its spirit of "high determination, decisive action, and practical effectiveness," has created a vibrant atmosphere of competition on the offshore platforms. This includes focusing on areas such as: excelling in training, maintaining high combat readiness, upholding strict discipline, building exemplary regular units, mastering weapons and technical equipment; and resolutely striving to successfully fulfill the task of managing and firmly protecting the sovereignty of the nation's seas and islands.

The Party cell of the DK1/16 offshore platform is united and cohesive in leading the unit to complete all tasks.

The Party committees and commanders of the offshore platforms also actively promoted propaganda and education, highlighting the leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam and its congresses; the significance and importance of the 14th National Congress of the Party; and building in officers and soldiers unwavering political resolve, undeterred by hardship and sacrifice, with a spirit of unity and solidarity, ready to accept and successfully complete assigned tasks.

High expectations for the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The 14th National Congress of the Party is a momentous political event for the entire nation, and a great source of motivation for all cadres and soldiers serving on the front lines of the Fatherland.

Captain Tran Van Luc, Political Officer of the DK1/10 platform, shared: "We are deeply moved and proud of the country's achievements under the leadership of the Party. This is the greatest motivation that helps us maintain our faith in the Party and firmly hold our weapons to protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands. The officers and soldiers of the DK1/10 platform will continue to promote emulation activities with specific, practical, and effective actions to achieve the highest achievements to celebrate the success of the congress."

The soldiers intensified their visual observation, detecting targets early and from a distance, ensuring they could handle any situation that might arise during the Party Congress.

Meanwhile, at the DK1/8 platform, Captain Nguyen Thanh Khiem, the platform's commander, stated: "The unit has thoroughly briefed all officers and soldiers, boosting morale and building a strong fighting spirit to overcome difficulties and successfully complete the mission. We have developed a combat readiness plan to protect the platform and the managed sea area; organized training exercises for combat scenarios, and effectively handled various situations to avoid being caught off guard, determined to firmly protect the sovereignty of the assigned sea area."

Having served for many years on the DK1 offshore platforms, Captain Le Quang Trung, a professional soldier and commander of the DK1/14 platform's gun crew, shared: "Feeling the strong development of the country even in the middle of the ocean, I have absolute faith in the leadership and the reform efforts of the Party and the entire nation. I hope that after the Congress, under the leadership of the Party, our country will advance strongly in the new era, for peace, independence, democracy, prosperity, civilization, happiness, and steadily progress towards socialism."

A burning desire to dedicate oneself to the Party and the Fatherland.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Hieu, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the DK1/16 offshore platform, said that in the middle of the ocean, promoting the leadership role of the Party branch and the unity and cohesion of the Party committee and commanders becomes the central connecting point and spiritual support for officers and soldiers to complete all assigned tasks.

"We clearly understand that a strong Party branch leads to a strong unit, and clear ideology ensures the completion of any task. Building each Party branch to be clean and strong will contribute to building our Party into an increasingly strong organization," Lieutenant Colonel Hieu emphasized.

Sergeant Nguyen Pham Nhat Khuong, a young soldier serving on the DK1/10 offshore platform, enthusiastically said: "I am proud to have been trained and nurtured in the military environment, to be a member of the Party and to work on the front lines of the Fatherland. I yearn to dedicate and contribute my strength to the Party and to our beloved Fatherland. I send my New Year wishes to the mainland and promise not to shy away from hardship and sacrifice, to contribute to firmly safeguarding the sacred sovereignty of the country."

Amidst the vast expanse of the southern continental shelf of our homeland, the days spent working at the DK1 platform, coinciding with the 14th National Party Congress and the upcoming Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, have become a memorable time for each officer and soldier. The pride of contributing to and firmly protecting the sovereignty of the nation's seas, islands, and continental shelf is always the driving force that keeps them steadfast at the forefront of the waves.
