Help 12 households escape poverty and near poverty

(CT) - The Women's Union of Hung Phu Ward achieved and exceeded most of the targets set out in the congress resolution for the 2021-2026 term. In particular, the Union continued to promote activities to support women in economic development, help each other sustainably reduce poverty and ensure social security.

The Women's Union of Hung Phu ward organized the program "Sharing love", giving rice to members, women and people in difficult circumstances in An Phu area.

Specifically, the association coordinated to consult, introduce and solve jobs for 400 workers; supported 10 women to start successful businesses; established and effectively maintained 4 production cooperatives, developed collective economy , with 30 members. The Women's Union introduced over 1,000 households to borrow preferential loans from the Social Policy Bank, serving production and small trading; mobilized to give gifts, necessities, care for members, women and children in difficult circumstances on holidays and Tet with a total value of over 800 million VND.

With practical support, over the past 5 years, the association has helped 12 households with women escape poverty and near poverty.
