On the afternoon of November 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong organized a working session with 4 communes in the Dam Rong area to grasp the difficulties and problems in the fields of culture, sports and tourism when implementing the 2-level local government model.

According to the representatives of the commune leaders, the land of Dam Rong is currently home to many ethnic groups, along with a unique and diverse traditional culture. In addition, the rich natural resource system such as mountains, waterfalls, hot springs, cool water... has great potential to develop community tourism and resort tourism.

In recent years, thanks to the attention and investment of all levels, sectors, the fields of culture, sports and tourism in the Dam Rong area have also seen some improvements, especially in the ethnic minority areas. Many traditional cultural and sports values ​​of ethnic groups have been preserved and promoted.

However, at present, when local governments come into operation, many places encounter problems such as: Lack of cultural institutions, lack of and degraded communication and broadcasting infrastructure; the work of preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups still faces many difficulties due to lack of capital and materials.

In addition, grassroots cadres are in charge of many sectors with large workloads, lack expertise, and have not promoted digital transformation in the fields of culture and tourism...

At the same time, traffic problems, especially the degraded National Highway 27 and the incomplete DT 722 road, have led to many obstacles in connecting to the central area of ​​the province, affecting the attraction of investment in tourism projects in the area.

At the meeting, representatives of the leaders of the specialized departments of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also had discussions to provide directions, develop cultural heritage values, create new products to attract tourists and promote the local economy .

At the same time, based on the previous tourism development project, the communes continue to coordinate with the Department's units to survey and connect routes in the Dam Rong area, especially the advantages of hot springs and cultural values ​​of local ethnic people.
