The latest rankings for women's amateur golf have just been released, and Le Chuc An has risen to 188th in the world . The Vietnamese player has climbed 4 places compared to her previous ranking.
Amateur golf worldwide has just announced a new scoring system for ranking players starting in 2026, resulting in changes to the rankings of many golfers.
Le Chuc An has not competed in any official international tournaments since the 33rd SEA Games. She is the reigning national champion of Vietnamese golf. Additionally, Le Chuc An won a bronze medal in the women's individual event at the 33rd SEA Games.
This year, Le Chuc An will be joining the University of Tennessee in the US to study academics while also playing for the university's golf team. She will have the opportunity to compete in the NCAA Division I collegiate golf tournament.
The Vietnamese golf team is developing a professional preparation plan for the 20th Asian Games. However, the registration of the competing squad will be carefully reviewed by management, based on predictions of the team's chances of achieving good results.
According to the professional program, Le Chuc An will participate in the Women's Amateur Asia- Pacific (WAAP 2026) golf tournament, which will be held in New Zealand from February 12 to 15.
Vietnamese women's golfers Chuc An and Nguyen Viet Gia Han were invited to compete in this tournament; however, Gia Han withdrew for personal reasons. Therefore, Chuc An is the only representative from Vietnam to receive a spot in the tournament.
