The GoogleBook platform will be featured on devices from popular laptop brands such as Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo, and is expected to launch this fall.

Glowbar will be a signature design feature on Google Books.

The highlight of the Googlebook is its Magic Pointer feature, developed by Google DeepMind, which allows Gemini to interact directly with the user's mouse cursor. As the cursor moves across the screen, Gemini provides contextual suggestions. For example, simply hovering the cursor over a date in an email will automatically suggest scheduling a meeting. Or, when selecting two images, Gemini can combine them without requiring the user to install any application or enter any commands.
Additionally, GoogleBook integrates a Create Your Widget feature that allows users to create custom widgets by describing their ideas in natural language. This tool pulls information from Gmail, Google Calendar, and the web to create a personalized dashboard, making it easy for users to organize flight details, book hotels, and track their trips.
Seamless operation between Google Books and Android
Another notable feature is that GoogleBook will work seamlessly with Android phones. The Quick Access feature allows users to browse, search, and insert files from their phone to the laptop without transferring data. Users can also run Android apps directly on their computer without downloading them or using emulated touch controls.

Many new features are offered on GoogleBook.

Each Googlebook will feature an LED glowbar on its body, serving not only as a visual identifier but also for a useful function. Google says these devices will come in various shapes and sizes, running on a modern operating system designed for intelligence, most likely Aluminium OS – a platform combining ChromeOS and Android.
Currently, specific specifications and pricing for the Googlebook line have not been announced. Google has only shared some details about the software features, so the true appeal of the Googlebook will depend on what its manufacturing partners bring to the table this fall.
