Opinions suggest increasing training and encouraging the younger generation to participate in preserving and promoting heritage, considering this a key solution to promote the soft power of Vietnamese culture in the new era.

Promoting traditional cultural values in the flow of national culture associated with rejuvenating the heritage conservation team is one of the key tasks that Tuyen Quang is focusing on implementing in the new period, especially after implementing the two-level local government model.

This is also the content that received many comments from cadres, party members and people on the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.

To make culture an endogenous resource

Giving comments on the cultural content mentioned in the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang province, commented that the cultural content is expressed deeply and comprehensively, correctly reflecting the Party's viewpoint, considering culture as the spiritual foundation of society, both the goal and the driving force for sustainable development of the country.

The orientation of cultural development in the new period is completely consistent with practical requirements; at the same time, it is highly consistent with the goal of building an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, and valuing both preservation and development.

In fact, when culture is placed at the center of development, it will become a great endogenous resource. For the land of Tuyen Quang, this is a harmonious connection between the sacred historical space, where the Vietnamese revolution originated and spread, and the majestic natural wonders bearing the mark of global geology.

From the Tan Trao Special National Relic Site to the Dong Van Karst Plateau Global Geopark, from Na Hang-Lam Binh Lake to Ma Pi Leng, from the Thanh Tuyen Festival with its brilliant lights and flowers to the Khau Vai market filled with affection..., all create a vibrant heritage strip with historical depth, spatial breadth and aspirational height.

Notably, Dong Van Stone Park was recently awarded the title “UNESCO Global Geopark of Dong Van Stone Plateau, Tuyen Quang, Vietnam - Asia's Leading Regional Cultural Destination in 2025” by the World Travel Awards (WTA).

This is one of the most prestigious categories of the World Travel Awards to honor destinations with outstanding achievements in preserving indigenous culture, developing sustainable tourism and preserving natural ecosystems.

The World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) recently honored Lo Lo Chai - a small village located at the foot of Lung Cu flagpole (Tuyen Quang) as "The best tourist village in the world in 2025."

Regarding the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th Party Congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa said that an issue that needs special attention is preserving and promoting the traditional cultural identity of ethnic groups.

Therefore, he suggested that the Party and State pay more attention to policies on treatment and honoring artisans, those who are day and night preserving and teaching national cultural values; promote traditional cultural education in schools; encourage the formation of community cultural living spaces, helping heritage to "live" in today's life; focus on preserving, exploiting and strongly promoting cultural heritage values;

Prioritize investment resources to preserve ethnic minority cultural villages associated with tourism development; restore and embellish revolutionary historical relics; promote digital transformation in cultural management and promotion.

Cultural development is not only about preserving heritage, but also about creating soft power, an important spiritual resource to promote tourism and local economic development.

This is also the content that needs to continue to be emphasized and specified in the documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, so that culture truly becomes the driving force for human and national development in the new period.

Rejuvenating the team to preserve and spread culture

Tuyen Quang is a land rich in identity, with unique cultural heritages such as Thanh Tuyen Festival, Then singing, Coi singing; cultural space of Tay, Dao, Mong ethnic groups...

This is a valuable resource, both a source of national pride and a foundation for developing cultural tourism. To preserve and spread these values, the role of the younger generation is extremely important.

Contributing her opinion to this content, Ms. Duong Minh Nguyet, Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union, stated that in the context of integration and development, preserving and promoting traditional cultural values associated with sustainable tourism development is one of the key tasks of Tuyen Quang province.

In particular, the young generation is a dynamic, creative and enthusiastic force and must be considered an important factor and a pioneer in preserving and promoting traditional culture.

Recently, Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union has carried out many activities such as organizing competitions to learn about ethnic culture, guiding young people to do community tourism, and promoting Tuyen Quang culture on digital platforms.

The unit also coordinates with the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to train tourism skills for local youth, encourage tourism start-up models associated with indigenous culture, contributing to preserving identity and creating sustainable livelihoods.

Typically, many young people in localities in the province such as Lam Binh, Na Hang, Chiem Hoa, Dong Van... have become community tour guides, introducing ethnic culture to domestic and foreign tourists. They are the "cultural ambassadors" of their homeland, contributing to spreading the image of friendly and hospitable Tuyen Quang widely at home and abroad.

Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union Duong Minh Nguyet said that bringing extracurricular lessons on traditional culture into schools is being implemented in many localities in the province, helping students to soon access, learn about and be proud of their national cultural values.

Activities such as learning Then singing, Tac Xinh dancing, experiencing traditional crafts... not only arouse love for the homeland but also form awareness of preserving heritage in the young generation.

There have appeared many examples of young artisans who both study and create to "breathe life" into national culture, spreading traditional values in a more familiar and modern way.

To continue promoting the role of youth, the Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union proposed that there should be more support mechanisms and policies to encourage creative startups in the field of culture and tourism; creating an environment for young people to learn, experience and contribute.

When young people are truly given opportunities and confidence, they will become the pioneering force in bringing traditional cultural values of the nation further, becoming the driving force for sustainable development of the country./.
