Hanoi will hold a 30-minute fireworks display to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The Hanoi People's Committee has just announced a plan to coordinate the organization of a fireworks display as part of a special art program to celebrate the successful conclusion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Accordingly, Hanoi has set up a fireworks display point in the area of ​​the My Dinh National Stadium. The total number of fireworks used includes 4,000 high-altitude fireworks, 950 fountains, and 4,400 pyrotechnic tubes, fired over a period of 30 minutes.

The program is scheduled to begin at 8:10 PM on January 23, 2026, following a special artistic program celebrating the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party. The funding for the event is provided by a corporation.

The Hanoi People's Committee has assigned the Hanoi Capital Command to coordinate with relevant agencies and functions of the Ministry of National Defense to assess the results of the conformity evaluation to technical standards, regulations, types, brands, country of origin, year of manufacture, and expiration date for fireworks imported by Chemical Company 21 Limited.

The Hanoi City Police are responsible for leading the development of plans and strategies to ensure security, social order, and traffic safety; in particular, guiding and managing traffic flow around the fireworks display area.

The Department of Culture and Sports instructed its subordinate agencies to install LED screens on both sides of the square in front of the My Dinh National Stadium to allow the public to watch the special art program.

Additionally, during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays at 31 locations with 32 firing sites, including 11 sites with high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks, and 21 sites with low-altitude fireworks.
