Hanoi: Ensuring security and order during important political and social events of the country

At the conference, Senior General Luong Tam Quang congratulated the outstanding achievements of the Hanoi City Police in ensuring security and order for events celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2, the program "Festival for a Peaceful Capital" and the peak period of attacking and suppressing crime. The success of these important activities clearly demonstrated the mettle, sense of responsibility, strength, prestige and brand of the Capital Police, and at the same time demonstrated the spirit of innovation, proactively transforming the method of operation, closely combining tradition and modernity, wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly "Forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people".

Affirming that the achieved results not only contribute to maintaining an absolutely safe and secure environment, but also affirm the prestige, position and brand of the Hanoi Police - the leading force in the emulation movement "Three best: Most disciplined, Most loyal, Closest to the people", General Luong Tam Quang believes that the Capital Police will continue to promote heroic traditions, uphold the spirit of responsibility, and excellently complete the task of protecting the security and safety of the 14th National Party Congress and important political events of the country.

Also at the conference, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc assessed that the success in ensuring security and order on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 was the result of the professionalism and responsibility of the Vietnam People's Public Security force, including the Capital Police. The Secretary of the Party Committee emphasized that, in order to implement the requirements for the development of the capital Hanoi by General Secretary To Lam and the Resolution of the 18th Congress of the City Party Committee, the Capital is implementing a synchronous, drastic, breakthrough and persistent action program.

The capital will create maximum conditions for the city police to be proactive in performing their duties, not passive in any situation, ensuring peace for the people, for the city to develop its socio-economy, and to build a clean and strong Party and political system.

Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc suggested that the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security continue to direct, accompany, and support the Hanoi City Police in tasks that are beyond the scope of the city police.

With the highest political determination, the Hanoi City Police have developed and deployed a plan to ensure security and order for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, considering this a particularly important political event of historical significance, demonstrating the stature, mettle and prestige of the Party, State and people. Since April 2025, the Hanoi City Police have mobilized all forces, closely coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense and functional units to proactively advise and deploy related tasks. Especially on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the City Police were on duty with 100% of its personnel during the 4 peak days (August 29 - September 2), ensuring absolute safety for Party and State leaders, international guests and people attending the event, contributing significantly to the complete success of the Celebration.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day and the 20th anniversary of the National Security Protection Day, Hanoi City Police organized a series of 35 activities in many fields such as: political education, emulation movement, culture - sports, mass mobilization, gratitude...

On October 8, at the Hoan Kiem Lake walking street, Hanoi City Police organized the "For a Peaceful Capital Festival" on the largest scale ever. Nearly 3,000 officers and soldiers from 36 forces participated in demonstrating specialized equipment and vehicles, attracting nearly 30,000 people and tourists. The event created a panoramic picture of the strength, professionalism and determination to keep the capital peaceful, contributing to spreading the beautiful image of the Hanoi Police force. Along with that, from July 15 to October 31, the City Police deployed a peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes to serve major holidays and important political events of the country. In addition, the force also deployed 4 thematic peaks and more than 30 plans to ensure security and order in many fields, contributing to maintaining peace in the capital.

On this occasion, Hanoi City Police awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Public Security, the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in ensuring security and order for the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2; "Festival for a Peaceful Capital" and the peak period of attacking and suppressing crime in the area.
