According to the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee has just decided to continue supporting Gia Lai province with 200 billion VND to overcome the consequences of historic floods. This move demonstrates the spirit of Hanoi's affection, Hanoi for the whole country, with the whole country, and at the same time meets the requirements of the Politburo and the Secretariat according to the Conclusion Notice No. 99-TB/TW dated November 21, 2025 on the task of supporting Gia Lai province after natural disasters.
Specifically, on November 21, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee issued Document No. 73-CV/TU to deploy a plan to support the Central and Central Highlands provinces in the face of prolonged floods. Accordingly, the Party Committee of the City People's Committee was assigned to coordinate with Gia Lai province to review the damage and develop a support plan including necessities, housing for poor and near-poor households, infrastructure restoration and reproduction.

These proposals are the basis for the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi to develop a support plan from both the city's budget and mobilized resources of the city's Fatherland Front.
Also on November 21, the Hanoi Party Committee agreed to immediately provide 50 billion VND to Gia Lai to promptly help people overcome initial losses. After the two localities continued to work and agreed on the need for long-term support, Hanoi decided to allocate an additional 200 billion VND to Gia Lai.
This funding source will be used to build resettlement areas and repair damaged traffic routes, aiming to help people quickly restore production and stabilize their lives after storms and floods. The Hanoi People's Committee has been assigned to closely coordinate with Gia Lai province to ensure the progress of supporting projects.

Along with direct support for Gia Lai province, Hanoi also allocated 10 billion VND from the city's Relief Fund to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. This amount of money is in response to the call of the President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Bui Thi Minh Hoai to support people in the Central and Central Highlands regions affected by storms and floods.
Continuing the series of support activities, on November 24, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong, on behalf of the city, presented an additional 30 billion VND to the three provinces of Dak Lak, Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa, each locality received 10 billion VND, contributing to helping the provinces quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
With the urgent participation of the political system and the spirit of sharing, Hanoi continues to affirm its role as a pioneering locality in activities to support people nationwide when facing difficulties due to natural disasters and floods.
