
Accordingly, the Advisory Team assisting the Hanoi City OCOP Council will organize the evaluation and ranking of 74 products from 29 entities in communes and wards that have OCOP potential of 3 stars or higher.
In his opening remarks at the conference, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, Nguyen Dinh Hoa, stated that to date, the city has evaluated and classified 3,463 OCOP products with 3 stars or higher. This result makes Hanoi the locality with the largest number of OCOP products in the country.

Hanoi's OCOP products are available in the distribution and retail systems of most provinces and cities, and are trusted and chosen by consumers nationwide. Many high-quality products have even reached foreign markets…
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa, from July 1, 2025, under the two-tiered local government model, the provincial People's Committee will have the authority to evaluate and classify OCOP products into 3 and 4-star categories; the central government will assess OCOP products into 5-star categories.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa requested that members of the Hanoi City OCOP Council's advisory group conduct the evaluation and classification of OCOP products in a transparent, objective manner and strictly adhere to the procedures and regulations of the central government.
Representatives from the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment also urged businesses with OCOP-certified products to continue promoting positive aspects; constantly improve quality and foster production-consumption linkages to increase the value of OCOP products.
According to the Organizing Committee representative, the Hanoi City OCOP Council Advisory Team for 2025 comprises representatives from nine departments and agencies. The team will work for two days, December 17th and 18th, to evaluate and classify 74 products and report to the Hanoi City People's Committee for consideration and recognition as OCOP products in 2025.
