Hanoi: Expected to announce today that schools will lower their admission scores and recruit additional students for grade 10

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has held a meeting to review schools with remaining quotas, consider additional enrollment in grade 10 (phase 2) of public schools for the 2025-2026 school year, and is expected to announce additional admission scores (phase 2) to grade 10 of public schools today.

Previously, the admission scores for grade 10 of specialized and non-specialized public high schools were announced by the Hanoi Departmentof Education and Training on July 4.

The review and consideration of additional admission to grade 10 (phase 2) will be carried out after the candidates who passed the entrance exam according to the standard scores of phase 1 have completed the admission confirmation procedures from July 10 to 12, based on the number of students who have confirmed their admission at each school and the number of students lacking the school's quota.

In the previous school year, 2024-2025, Hanoi had 63 additional schools, including 3 specialized high schools and 60 non-specialized public schools.

The 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year had nearly 104,000 students participating in the city.
