Hanoi FC changes general right before New Year's Eve

The information was announced on the home page of the capital team: "At the beginning of the 2024-2025 season, Hanoi FC chose coach Le Duc Tuan as captain. Previously, the coach born in 1982 in Hanoi had led the team in 2 matches in the 2023-2024 season.

After 11 rounds of V.League, the team that won the National Championship 6 times won 3 matches, drew 6 matches and lost 2 matches, most recently losing to Hoang Anh Gia Lai Club, thereby losing the opportunity to enter the list of 3 leading teams on the rankings.

Today (January 28), the Board of Directors of Hanoi Football Club announced that Coach Le Duc Tuan and his colleagues will hand over the work at Team I to carry out new tasks at the Hanoi Youth Football Training Center, and at the same time choose veteran coach Hoang Van Phuc to take on the above position from the day the team gathers on January 31 (the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year).

Coach Hoang Van Phuc is currently the technical director of Hanoi Football Club. He has worked for a long time at Hanoi FC and contributed to the achievements of winning the National U19 Championship (2022), National U21 Championship (2022, 2024). In particular, he helped Hanoi win the National U17 Championship for the first time in 2024 after 15 years of establishing the Hanoi Youth Football Training Center. In 2021, Mr. Phuc also became the acting head coach of Hanoi FC.

Notably in 2013, coach Hoang Van Phuc led the Vietnamese team to compete in the 2015 Asian Cup qualifiers.

Coach Hoang Van Phuc will work with Hanoi FC right after the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday. According to the schedule, Hanoi FC and Nam Dinh Steel Club will be the two teams "breaking ground" with a confrontation at 6:00 p.m. on February 5 at Thien Truong Stadium.
