Hanoi introduced Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung to be elected as Chairman of the city.

(Dan Tri) - The Hanoi Party Committee has introduced Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, the new Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, to be elected as Chairman of the City People's Committee.

On the afternoon of November 12, the Hanoi Party Committee voted to pass the Resolution of the second meeting of the 18th City Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Accordingly, the Hanoi Party Executive Committee dismissed Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tuan from the position of Chairman of the City People's Council for the 2021-2026 term due to not meeting the age requirement for re-election.

The Hanoi Party Executive Committee also introduced and elected Ms. Phung Thi Hong Ha, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Council, for the 2021-2026 term.

The Hanoi Party Executive Committee has dismissed Mr. Tran Sy Thanh from the position of Chairman of the City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term because he was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission .

The Hanoi Party Executive Committee also introduced Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, to be elected as Chairman of the City People's Committee.

The Hanoi Party Executive Committee also voted to let Mr. Nguyen Xuan Luu stop participating in the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee and stop holding the position of Chairman of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee, and elected Mr. Do Anh Tuan, Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee.

Regarding the adjustment of the structure of the Hanoi Party Committee Standing Committee, term XVIII, the structure of Vice Chairmen of the City People's Committee has 3 people, an increase of 1 person according to the approved personnel plan; the structure of Party Committee Secretaries of communes and wards has a decrease of 1 person according to the approved personnel plan.

Previously, the Politburo decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung to join the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

It is expected that on the afternoon of November 13, the 16th Hanoi People's Council will hold a thematic meeting to review and decide on a number of issues under its authority, including personnel matters.
