Hanoi: Public school tuition fee highest at 6.1 million VND/month

(Dan Tri) - On the morning of November 27, the Hanoi People's Council passed a Resolution regulating tuition fees for high-quality public schools and public schools affiliated with universities, colleges, and research institutes in the area.

Tuition fees are specified in detail for each school as follows:

Sai Dong Urban Kindergarten collects 5.1 million VND/month for children under 18 months old and 4.3 million VND/month for the remaining group.

October 20 Kindergarten collects 5.1 million VND/month.

Viet Hung Urban Kindergarten charges 5.1 million VND/month for kindergarten classes that study English 5 sessions/week. The remaining classes charge 3.8 million VND/month.

Viet Bun Kindergarten charges tuition from 3.3-4.8 million VND/month, the highest for kindergarten classes that study English 5 sessions/week.

Viet Trieu Friendship Kindergarten has two tuition levels: 5.1 million VND/month applies to children under 24 months old and kindergarten classes learning English 5 sessions/week; 4.3 million VND/month applies to the remaining group.

Mai Dich Kindergarten collects 3.8-4.6 million VND, the highest is also in the kindergarten class studying English 5 sessions/week.

In primary school, the school with the highest tuition fees is Sai Dong Urban Primary School. This school charges 5-5.5 million VND/month, highest for grades 1 and 2, lowest for grades 4 and 5.

Nam Tu Liem Primary School collects 4.65 million VND/month from grade 1 to grade 4. Grade 5 alone has a tuition fee of 4.45 million VND.

Trang An Primary School collects a single fee of 3.7 million VND/month for all students.

In junior high school, Le Loi Junior High School charges the highest tuition fee of 4.4 million VND/month/student.

Tuition fees for Chu Van An Secondary School, Nam Tu Liem Secondary School and Cau Giay Secondary School are 4.2 million VND/month, 4.02 million VND/month and 3.3 million VND/month respectively.

In the high school block, Phan Huy Chu School charges the highest with 6.1 million VND/month. Le Loi High School applies 2 levels of 3 million VND and 3.9 million VND for regular classes and English-enhanced classes.

Among the university-affiliated schools, the University of Education Gifted Secondary School charges the highest tuition fee of 4 million VND/month. The Foreign Language Specialized School and the Pedagogical Specialized School charge the same amount of 3.2 million VND/month.

Nguyen Tat Thanh School collects 2,365 million VND/month for junior high school students and 2,64 million VND/month for high school students.

The resolution also stipulates that tuition fees for online learning are equal to 75% of tuition fees for in-person learning.
