The storm that occurred on the afternoon of July 19 affected several areas in Hanoi , breaking and falling many trees, causing damage to technical infrastructure, affecting traffic safety and order and people's lives.
Updated data on tree damage from the Hanoi City Technical Infrastructure Management Center, as of 6:45 p.m. on July 19, there were 274 fallen trees and broken branches in the city, of which 241 trees were in the inner city, Thang Long Avenue, Vo Nguyen Giap Street, and Thong Nhat Park. In Thong Nhat Park alone, 36 trees were affected.
The strong storm and heavy rain also caused many vehicles on the road to fall, many trees were broken, roofs and billboards were blown off, and Noi Bai airport had to temporarily postpone many flights.

According to the report, due to the storm, some flights to and from Noi Bai airport were affected. According to statistics from Noi Bai airport, 9 flights arriving at the airport had to be diverted to alternate airports and 3 flights taking off from the airport had to be temporarily suspended waiting for more favorable weather.

Accordingly, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the People's Committees of communes, wards and related units to urgently organize inspections, reviews, statistics and implement plans to handle and overcome the situation of broken and fallen trees due to the impact of the above storm; guide, urge, summarize the implementation results, and report to the Hanoi People's Committee before July 22.
Assign the People's Committees of communes and wards to proactively develop and implement plans to handle and overcome the situation of broken and fallen trees in the management area according to the "4 on-site" motto; closely coordinate with functional units during the implementation process, ensuring safety, order and environmental sanitation; report the results to the Department of Construction before July 21 for general synthesis.

By 10:00 p.m. on July 19, according to records, all communes and wards in Hanoi had basically overcome the situation of fallen trees, flooding and other damages.
