The Tet Market, held on February 7th and 8th, 2026, offered a heartwarming and sharing atmosphere for Tet shopping for union members and workers in Hanoi.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi City Federation of Labor (Hanoi FL) Nguyen Huy Khanh said that 2025 will be a year of many difficulties and challenges. The complex fluctuations in the global situation have directly impacted supply chains, significantly affecting the production and business activities of enterprises, as well as the lives, jobs, and incomes of workers.
However, it is precisely in times of hardship that the resilience of the working class in the capital city continues to be affirmed – unwavering, creative, and persistent in overcoming challenges, accompanying the development of the capital and the country.
Under the leadership of the Party and the decisive management of the government, the Hanoi Trade Union at all levels has continuously innovated its content and methods of operation, with the motto "Taking the grassroots as the operational area, taking union members and workers as the center" as its guiding principle.
"Behind every worker is a family with many daily worries, therefore, caring for the lives and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers is always identified as a core task of the Trade Union organization," Mr. Nguyen Huy Khanh affirmed.
Over the past year, hundreds of thousands of gifts, hundreds of billions of VND in support, and numerous "Trade Union Shelters" have been given to workers in difficult circumstances. These figures not only have material significance but also demonstrate the commitment, responsibility, and compassion of the Trade Union organization towards its members and workers in all situations.
In the series of activities organized by the Hanoi Trade Union to care for the Lunar New Year, the "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" is considered a deeply humane highlight. The program features over 70 stalls selling a variety of essential goods for Tet, such as food, groceries, household goods, and consumer products. All products are guaranteed to be of high quality, have clear origins, and are sold at preferential prices, creating conditions for union members, workers, and employees to shop for Tet economically and with peace of mind.
Many workers and employees shared that, in the context of income pressure, the Trade Union's Tet Market helped them save a significant amount of money to prepare for Tet for their families. More importantly, they clearly felt the care of the Trade Union organization, so that celebrating Tet was no longer a worry, but a complete joy.
In addition to promotional shopping activities, the Hanoi City Federation of Labor also presented 3,600 shopping vouchers, each worth 500,000 VND, and 3,600 "free" gift packages, each worth 300,000 VND, to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
