In areas such as Ba Dinh Square and main streets like Hung Vuong, Phan Dinh Phung, and the area around the Hanoi Flagpole, many large billboards, banners, and hammer-and-sickle symbols were prominently displayed, creating a patriotic atmosphere.

Hanoi has banned trucks weighing over 2 tons on some inner-city roads during the day and is also implementing traffic diversion measures to serve the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

These days the streets are less congested, reducing traffic jams even during rush hour.

Many people liken the atmosphere in Hanoi these days to Tet (Vietnamese New Year), with clear streets and sidewalks, and the entire city ablaze with the vibrant red and yellow colors of flags, banners, and posters celebrating the holiday.

The Hanoi People's Committee headquarters is decorated with flags and banners welcoming the Congress. Along the streets around Hoan Kiem Lake, such as Dinh Tien Hoang, Hang Khay, Trang Tien, Hai Ba Trung, etc., bright red banners, slogans, and posters are displayed to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The solemn atmosphere throughout the streets attracted the attention of locals and tourists alike.

The art exhibition celebrating the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, themed "The Horse Arrives," is taking place from now until February 28th in the Hoan Kiem Lake area and attracting the attention of locals and tourists. The chosen theme emphasizes the strong connection between cultural roots and the development journey of the community in the new era.

The shores of Hoan Kiem Lake are bustling with people taking photos for Tet (Lunar New Year).

Hanoi Cathedral is a popular spot for locals and tourists to stop by, admire the scenery, and take photos.

The roundabout area in the middle of 19.8 Square is spacious.

Traffic management for the Congress was combined with celebratory decorations. Many roads from the city center to the outskirts of Hanoi were adorned with flags, flowers, banners, and posters.
