Organizing art programs in public spaces is considered a way to help people and tourists easily access, enjoy and share the cultural values of the capital.
According to the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the "Weekend Music" project at the Octagon House was implemented with the expectation of building this place into a familiar cultural meeting place, where music resonates in the historical space of Hoan Kiem Lake, creating close and attractive artistic experiences.
The opening program featured the participation of Meritorious Artist Quyen Van Minh, Binh Minh Jazz Club, along with singers, lecturers and students from professional art training institutions.
"The combination of famous artists and young artists will bring quality performances, a unique and emotional art space. In the coming time, the project will introduce more art forms such as folk, classical, and pop music, creating a diverse art space to serve the people and tourists," the announcement stated.
The Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes that the "Weekend Music" project will become a new cultural landmark, contributing to enriching people's spiritual life and promoting the image of Hanoi as a creative, civilized and hospitable city.
