Hanoi: Review and research to establish a master plan with a 100-year vision

The Hanoi Party Committee has just issued a Decision to establish a Steering Committee to review and research the Master Plan with a 100-year vision.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee decided to establish a Steering Committee to review and study the development of the Capital Master Plan with a 100-year vision on the basis of integrating the Hanoi Capital Master Plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, and the Adjustment of the Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, with a vision to 2065, consisting of 47 members.

The Head of the Steering Committee is Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

The Steering Committee is responsible for directing and organizing the review and adjustment of the Hanoi Capital Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, and the adjustment of the Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, with a vision to 2065 in the process of researching and developing the Capital Master Plan with a 100-year vision.

The Steering Committee directs, inspects, and urges departments, branches, sectors, and People's Committees of communes and wards to implement the two major plans of the Capital in accordance with the law; periodically organizes Steering Committee meetings to grasp the situation and promptly handle difficulties and problems. For issues with different opinions or major, important issues, the Steering Committee synthesizes reports and makes recommendations to the Central Government for consideration and resolution according to its authority.

Along with that, direct the implementation of research and proposal to amend Resolution No. 15-NQ/TU dated May 5, 2022 of the Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Hanoi Capital to 2030, with a vision to 2045; amend and supplement the Law on the Capital; review, develop and report to competent authorities for approval of the Master Plan of the Capital with a 100-year vision on the basis of integrating the two major Plans of the Capital to update and supplement the directions of the General Secretary , the development orientations of the Capital stated in the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Resolution of the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee, newly issued strategic resolutions of the Central Committee, other directive documents of the Central Committee and the City to meet the development requirements of the Capital in the new era; propose to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and the City Party Executive Committee to consider and decide on policies, orientations, mechanisms, and strategies as a basis for implementation...
