The Office of the Hanoi People's Committee has just issued Notice No. 174/TB-VP on the conclusion of Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh, Head of the Organizing Committee for activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) at the first meeting. At the meeting, the Organizing Committee acknowledged and commended the standing agency, the Department of Culture and Sports, and relevant departments and branches for proactively advising the City People's Committee to issue branch plans for each field from the beginning of 2024, ensuring the progress of activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital. The implementation of the plan has achieved a number of results, such as: Launching emulation movements; organizing cultural and sports activities from villages and residential groups... creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere among the people.

The City People's Committee agreed in principle to provide financial support to the People's Committees of districts to carry out activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital, ensuring the scale and quality of the organization of activities throughout the city. The City also requested the assigned departments, branches, and organizations to urgently develop implementation plans according to their fields of work, and submit them to the City People's Committee for consideration and approval in May 2024. Notably, the City People's Committee assigned the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to organize the presentation of a national flag to each household according to the common model of the whole city. The Department of Culture and Sports instructed the districts, towns, and cities to present the national flag according to the common model and size of the whole city, to be completed before September 20, 2024.
