The event was organized by the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature in collaboration with Nhau Studio, as part of the series of activities of the Thang Long - Hanoi Festival.
The exhibition includes 3 themes: Heritage and architecture reflecting the ancient beauty of streets, temples, Long Bien Bridge, Hoan Kiem Lake...; Contemporary life recording the vibrant life and creative energy of the young generation; Open creative space where folk art is revived with bamboo, Do paper, coconut leaves, wood...

Director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities of the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam Le Xuan Kieu said: "We are always wondering how to connect the young generation with thousands of years of cultural sediments in an inspiring way. That is the reason why the exhibition is held at Ho Van space, an address to preserve and conserve cultural values, one of the creative spaces of the Capital."
According to artist Dinh Huy, founder of the I Draw Club: "Two months ago, when we started coming up with the idea, we wanted to create a new breath of life for Hanoi's heritage through art activities at Ho Van Lake to attract a large community of artists."

“Thanh Tan Hanoi” is the first exhibition inspired by the spirit of “thanh” - clear, pure and “tan” - fresh, bright, youthful perspectives on Hanoi past and present through the lens of young artists. Each painting is a slice of Hanoi, both familiar, new, nostalgic and full of life; where art blends with the breath of Hanoians today.
Within the framework of the exhibition, a series of creative workshops "Touching art, living with heritage" took place with activities: combining ideas - printing colors (printing art from lego), painting on conical hat brims, painting mountains and rivers (wood carving on do paper), transforming trees and leaves (creating animal shapes from bamboo and coconut leaves), golden imprint (drawing and gilding on art paper), negative sketching (drawing with white ink on a black background).

Here, with bamboo frames, ropes, dragonflies, carp, grasshoppers, pandan leaves... visitors can directly participate in workshops, sketch, print paintings, or chat with artists.
The activities help viewers touch, do and live with art. The organizers hope that the exhibition will become a bridge between contemporary art and heritage, spreading the love for Hanoi, encouraging new creativity based on tradition, contributing to affirming Hanoi as a creative city, where heritage is still alive in the modern rhythm.
