Hanoi honors 95 university and college valedictorians in 2025

On the evening of November 14, at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee held a ceremony to honor outstanding valedictorians graduating from universities and academies in the capital in 2025.

This year's ceremony featured 90 valedictorians from public schools and five valedictorians from private schools.

Of these, there are 16 valedictorians in technical majors, 20 valedictorians in economic majors, 31 valedictorians in management - culture - society majors, 9 valedictorians in pedagogy majors, 6 valedictorians in medicine - pharmacy majors and 13 valedictorians in armed forces majors.

Many valedictorians are young party members, "5 good students" at all levels, role models who have overcome difficulties to rise up, possess scientific research projects that have won domestic and international awards, and many creative and practical initiatives and solutions in study and life.

At the ceremony, 95 valedictorians were awarded certificates of merit by the Hanoi People's Committee, along with a bonus of VND10.53 million (equivalent to 4.5 times the basic salary) and a bamboo pen from Politburo member and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Vu Thu Ha - Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee - said that in recent years, the city has always paid attention to nurturing and promoting young talents and high-quality human resources.

According to Ms. Ha, the activity of honoring excellent graduates of universities and academies in the capital is maintained annually as a cultural beauty, respecting talented people, and has profound educational meaning.

Up to now, after 23 years of organization, 2,351 excellent valedictorians have been honored and recorded in the capital's traditional golden book. Many valedictorians have become officials, intellectuals, businessmen, scientists, creative, talented researchers... contributing their intelligence and enthusiasm to the development of the capital and the country.
