Attending the program were Party Central Committee member, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Pham Tat Thang; Hanoi city leaders and representatives of city departments, branches and sectors.
Entering its 23rd year, the program continues to affirm the deep concern of the Party Committee, government and people of the Capital for the cause of education, training and promoting the young generation. After more than two decades, the city has honored 2,351 valedictorians, many of whom are currently holding important positions in state agencies, organizations and enterprises, actively contributing to the development of the Capital and the country.

In 2025, the ceremony honored 95 excellent valedictorians, students with outstanding achievements in studying and training. Among them, there were 35 males and 60 females; 90 valedictorians came from public schools, 5 valedictorians came from private schools. In terms of academic results, 64 valedictorians achieved excellent results, 31 valedictorians achieved excellent results. Notably, there were 33 young party members, 44 Youth Union officials, and many students with award-winning research works and practical initiatives serving life.
The structure by industry group continues to show the diversity of high-quality human resources of the Capital: 31 valedictorians in the Management, Culture, and Social sectors; 20 valedictorians in the Economics sector; 16 valedictorians in the Engineering sector; 13 valedictorians in the Armed Forces sector; 9 valedictorians in the Pedagogy sector; 6 valedictorians in the Medicine and Pharmacy sector.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha emphasized that the recognition of excellent valedictorians is an important step in concretizing the direction of the General Secretary and the spirit of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development. She said that the Resolution of the 18th City Party Congress (term 2025-2030) continues to identify one of the three strategic breakthroughs as "Building a contingent of cadres, especially leaders and managers at all levels of the Capital with mettle, will to rise, aspiration to contribute, strategic thinking; attracting and promoting excellent leaders, managers, talented experts and scientists."

According to Ms. Vu Thu Ha, the Hanoi Party Committee has concretized the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 18th Congress, including the key task of "Developing education and training, building high-quality human resources, attracting leading talents nationwide, and integrating internationally." This is identified as the fundamental factor for Hanoi to continue to play the role of "locomotive" for innovation, improving the quality of people's lives and realizing the aspiration to develop the country in the new era.

This year's program took place with a series of meaningful activities: The Ceremony of Reporting Achievements to Uncle Ho at President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum; Incense Offering Ceremony at Thang Long Imperial Citadel; Exchange between Excellent Valedictorians and Outstanding Students of Chu Van An High School; Ceremony of Registering the Golden Book of Excellent Valedictorians; and the Official Commendation Ceremony at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam.

Maintaining the program for more than two decades continues to affirm the tradition of learning of Thang Long - Hanoi, while demonstrating the city's strong commitment to promoting knowledge, valuing talents and developing high-quality human resources, contributing to building a civilized, modern and deeply integrated capital.
