Ha Tinh has deployed the construction of 13 resettlement areas for the North-South expressway.

Of the 28 resettlement areas serving the relocation of households within the scope of influence of the North-South Expressway project, Ha Tinh has so far built 13 resettlement areas.

The North-South Expressway through Ha Tinh is under construction.

To have a site for the construction of 3 component projects of the North-South Eastern Expressway in the 2021-2025 period passing through the province with a total length of 102.38 km and 3 parallel routes connecting the expressway, Ha Tinh needs to hand over 902 hectares of land of all kinds with nearly 9,000 affected households, exhume more than 1,285 graves, relocate 478.61 km of power lines and other works and technical infrastructure.

With the mobilization of the entire political system to participate in site clearance work and the consensus and support from people within the project's scope of influence, up to now, Ha Tinh has counted 99.61%, approved compensation plans for 90.46%, and compensated and handed over the site to the investor for 87.12%.

The progress of disbursement of project site clearance capital is 833.43/2,578.69 billion VND (reaching 32.32%).

Deo But road tunnel (connecting Ha Tinh - Quang Binh ) is one of the "highlights" of the North - South expressway through Ha Tinh.

With the goal of handing over the entire project site in the second quarter of 2023 as required by the Government and the Ministry of Transport, Ha Tinh continues to accelerate the progress of compensation, support and resettlement; in which, the construction of resettlement areas is the task that the province is focusing on implementing.

Accordingly, with 572 households eligible for resettlement and 801 graves needing to be exhumed, Ha Tinh will have to build 28 resettlement areas and 4 cemeteries.

Infrastructure of resettlement area in Ky Anh town is under construction.

According to the Department of Construction, 32 planned construction sites (28 resettlement areas, 4 cemeteries) have been approved by the Provincial People's Committee. Regarding the design documents, 28/32 locations have been appraised and approved. To date, 13 resettlement areas of the North-South Expressway project have started construction (Duc Tho 1, Can Loc 2, Thach Ha 6, Ky Anh 3 and Ky Anh Town 1). The remaining locations are in the process of selecting contractors. In addition, Ky Anh district has also started construction of 2 cemeteries.

Along with the construction of resettlement areas and new cemeteries, Ha Tinh also requires localities with expressways passing through to focus on relocating power lines and technical infrastructure works to hand over clean land to investors to implement the project.
