Ha Tinh: Rewarding 3 brave people who saved 2 drowning people

On the afternoon of November 14, the People's Committee of Ky Lac commune (Ha Tinh province) organized a surprise commendation and reward ceremony for three local citizens for their bravery in rescuing a drowning person.

Ky Lac commune leaders and commune police awarded certificates of merit to 2 out of 3 individuals.

The three individuals honored include: Phan Luong Nhat, Tran Van Tham (both born in 1998) and Phan Binh Minh (born in 2009, 11A3 student, Ky Lam High School), all residing in Lac Thang village, Ky Lac commune.

Previously, on the afternoon of November 8, while passing through the Huynh Thu dam area, three people discovered two children, Nguyen TT (born in 2004) and Phan TL (born in 2008), living in the same village, struggling in the middle of the water, at serious risk of drowning.

Immediately, Mr. Nhat, Mr. Tham and Minh did not hesitate to jump in to help, coordinate to bring both victims to shore safely and perform timely first aid. Thanks to their quick response, the two children are now in stable health.

In recognition of their brave actions, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Lac Commune, Nguyen Anh Ngoc, awarded certificates of merit and praised the community spirit of the three individuals, considering them shining examples of bravery and neighborly love.
